Does Blackridge sit in my request path?
Yes — it's a gateway. That's deliberate: inline position is what makes attribution exact rather than sampled from logs, and what makes policy enforcement possible later without re-architecture. It's fail-open with single-digit-ms overhead, and you can start with one workflow.
What happens if Blackridge goes down?
Nothing, to you. Fail-open design: traffic proceeds directly to your provider. There's also a documented bypass you control unilaterally.
Do you see our prompts and outputs?
Attribution runs on metadata. No payload retention by default. Details are on the security page.
Which providers do you support?
OpenAI, Anthropic, AWS Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, Google Gemini, and self-hosted models are the target provider surfaces for design-partner deployments.
Is this FinOps tooling or observability?
Neither, exactly. Observability tells you your systems are healthy. FinOps tells you your cloud line items. Blackridge tells you which product and engineering decisions your AI dollars actually bought — the question finance asks and nobody can currently answer.
How fast do we see value?
Design partners get a cause file within 30 days; most leaks show up in the first week of traffic.
Who am I actually talking to?
A founding engineer. We're a small, senior team of principal-level infrastructure engineers; there is no sales floor.
What does it cost?
Design partner pricing is discussed on the first call.
